Are The Lakers a WC Playoff Team?

I'm prepared for the blasting I'll take...but this team is in SERIOUS trouble, and Steve Nash isn't going to help the defensive struggles...and you know they aren't going to get fair/full value for Pau.

Teams are hacking D12 in the 4th qt and he's killing us with his inability to hit free throws. The bench is terrible, and we have no assets to make it any better...so where do the Lakers fit into the early playoff picture? The Clips, Grizz, Spurs, Thunder are all pretty much locks to finish ahead of LA...then there's a log-jam of mediocre team battling for the 5-8 slots...and the Lakers are one of them.

At this point...if the Lakers make the playoffs, which it would be a monumental disaster if they didn't, I just can't see them getting past any of those top 4 teams...too much depth, athleticism, youth...the Lakers are really looking at an uphill challenge.

They'll be lucky to win 1 game against the Thunder in the 1st round.

Mitch always gets more than the " fair full value" for any player. Remember this is the guy who got Pau in his prime for Kwame Brown! (*Stephen A. Smith voice ) Dwight Howard for senior citizen knees. Steve Nash for pretty much Lamar Odom considering that's what we used that trade exception for. I agree they are in trouble and something needs to change quickly, talent wise are they a playoff team? Yes. But the way they are performing right now, no there not a playoff team. Something needs to change quick.

No, no more talk of trading kobe, amnesty kobe none of that. We're not playing for the future right now, they built them to win now and kobe is the best player on this team. Trading kobe is just a ridiculous thought.

Easy solution. Give Phil what he wants. The Lakers have the talent, its just not being utilized correctly.
