With Ellsbury's value pretty low at the moment, any trade involving him won't net the 'Sox a fair amount. Although moving him is a must now considering they just signed Victorino so hopefully they can get some value back.

Not many will want Ells as a rental unless they are getting him for next to nothing. Everyone knows Ells is hitting free agency after next season so it limits who would want him.

I think Ells will net more than everyone thinks, including myself lol. Perhaps Cabrera for Ellsbury could intrigue the indians? idk. Or maybe even a 3 team deal. I'm not one to usually think of crazy trade scenerios like that, however with the players being linked to the red sox being from mostly rebuilding teams it seems like a move that is possible albeit unlikely

I am not sure that would intrigue the Indians since they don't have the money to extend Ellsbury and are trying to get rid of another Boras client (I think both are Boras clients) in Shin Soo-Choo I just don't see them adding another one but who knows Originally Posted by homie564
