I hate when people say age is irrelevant for a knuckleballer.. He's 38, him being a knuckleballer doesn't make his body any younger. Have you ever tried throwing a knucleball? because it definitely takes some strain on your arm after a while. While yes, He could probably pitch another 2-3 maybe 4 years that would be the equivalent of getting something like a 35 year old pitcher. Which still doesn't make any sense..

It obviously isn't completely irrelevant. But how many fastball pitchers pitch into their 40s effectively? The guy just won the CY Young and has no signs of slowing down. If the Sox see two years as their target to be relevant than Dickey would still be a good pickup.

Ellsbury is less than one year younger than Grady. Not much of a Jr.

That's not what he meant by Jr.

I actually don't want to trade him. The general consensus amongst Mets fans is to trade him only for an awesome package. Ellsbury is exactly what the Mets need. We have no legit everyday outfielder. We also have no team speed.

    What else does junior mean?

Maybe Grady 2.0 would have worked better?

I'd love to get him out of the AL East.

He typically does that to himself

^ I forgot that he only played 18 games in 2010. He really isn't as great as I thought he was...but if he's healthy he would be.

Well, normally, when a grown man collides with you at full speed and breaks your ribs you are going to miss time. When a grown man falls on top of you and dislocates your shoulder, you're going to miss time as well.

Grown men have collided into you 100 times and you've never complained about it. #Trooper

It's kind of like throwing a hot dog down a hallway at this point with him. No room for damage.
