People do realize that his power from last year is not the norm with him right? Last year he had 27 HRs, the three years before that combined he had 30. He hits for a decent average but doesn't really get on base a ton. He's not exactly a great hitter.

Yet Cashman lauded quite a bit more riches and praise on one Mssr. Carl Pavano based on one 18-8 season and about seven terrible years prior.

Every player on the team doesn't have to be a great hitter. Players are signed for other abilities they have. To expect a lineup of 9 great hitters is out of touch with reality.
