he seems willing to go one year with the yanks they would be foolish not to grab him also a rod is all but done to play 3rd at a consistant rate why not blow the doors off the padres for headly he would be a steady staple for years to come i also would love to see mike morse on this team via trade thoughts?

Yet Cashman lauded quite a bit more riches and praise on one Mssr. Carl Pavano based on one 18-8 season and about seven terrible years prior.

Give a 1 yr contract to AJ with the stipulation that he can beat the hell out of cervelli. He would sign it.

Every player on the team doesn't have to be a great hitter. Players are signed for other abilities they have. To expect a lineup of 9 great hitters is out of touch with reality.

Then shoot him because they're not trading for Headley.

I agree . he is a much better player. for a one year deal to try and bridge to the prospects would be a very good move

Don't forget the "Trade Override" feature that is associated with it.

Hopefully they up the dollar amount and convince AJ to sign a one year deal. Still pretty unlikely.

Heyman tweets that the Yankees are hesitating on AJ Pierzynski because they view him as an average defender.

    1) They let a good defender in Russell Martin leave

    2) Jorge was an average defender and his bat made up for it
