    one year contracts question

Seeing how youkilis could do a ONE YEAR DEAL on a premium would it be possible to offer players looking for multiyear deals large one year deal for the sake of the yankees hitting there 189 mark and be a competitve this year.

for example i did say example josh hamilton offer him a 1 year 35 million
    youkilis a 1 year 20 mill
zack greinke 1 year 25 mill

they will be gone at years end leaving our payroll down.
i love the yankee haters you make us what we are today

    1. Hamilton would never accept a one year deal
    2. Greinke would never accept a one year deal

You'll only see one year deals with guys coming off surgery looking to rebound and befgiven a shot at the following year proving they can be signed long term.

    3. Youkilis is not worth anywhere near 1 year 20 million.

Basically you have to have a good mix of developed players coming up and productive free agents with 3-4 yr deals and the you avoid all of this.....

Some guys want the insurance more than money, they'll get paid, but the want to stay under contract for many years in case something happens.
