Seriously just pay hairston....
This team is so mediocre it is scary.
Mediocre in everything they do.
This guy is guaranteed to pop 20 hrs a year unless he flops like Bay. Maybe we can groom him back to 09 numbers where he hit his career high 44 hrs in a year along with a .349 OBP. Fish are after him too, i'd take this guy over Hairston he has more power potential and is younger i hope the mets jump all over him.
He's my brother's favorite player, so it would be cool. But, he's an extremely streaky, lesser version of Ike Davis from what I've seen. If he can play outfield, why not I guess.
: psd :
Lots of power...LOTS of K's
If they can get him for like 4-5 mil, **** it why not?

If they sign him think of all the money they can save in ballpark air conditioning.
Yes a nice right handed bat between Wright and Davis, sign me up.
I'd rather play Duda.
I don't know if Duda will ever hit for the power people expect him to.
They need power and Reynolds can provide that.
If they can deal with a ton of strikeouts and possibly poor defense in LF (which we know Duda will be horrible out there as well) i would take a chance on him for the right price.
Might be a small sample size, but in parks that he likes, he hits well...
Citi Field: .719 slugging percentage; 1.080 OPS (4 HRs; 2 doubles);
Yankee Stadium: .742 slg %; 1.122 OPS (7 HRs; 8 doubles);
Fenway: .566 slugging %; .929 OPS; (6 HRs; 4 doubles);
CBP: .550 slug %; .912 OPS; ( 3 HRs; 3 doubles);
Turner Field: .572 slug %; .909 OPS; (6 HRs; 4 doubles);
There are other parks that he's crushed as well...the guy has his flaws, but he's got the power to hit it out of any park and he's seem to done well where a lot of guys have a meltdown...
Take a look at the HR tracker chart from his last NL season, super-imposed on the current Citi Field dimensions...
in 2010, Reynolds "average" HR went 420 feet:
the 2nd chart is Jason Bay's 2009 season overlayed on the current Citi Field dimensions...in 2009, Bay's "average" HR went 393 feet
...By comparison, in 2008 when David Wright had 33 HRs, DW's average HR went 399.7 feet...
Scott Hairston's average HR in 2012 went 394 feet:

In his 6 years in the majors, Reynolds has played a grand total of 3 innings in the outfield. Has had 1 fly ball hit to him. (which he did catch) Please, I hope this is a joke, because if we sign him it will be a joke.
