It seems like whatever this guy touches turns to gold. Very well deserved.

Brain Sabean winning exec of the year reinforces my belief that the majority of intelligent baseball fans could be groomed into successful GM's if given the opportunity.
Were not gonna improve this off season because he believes we are good enough to win again as is. He can't be questioned now that he won this award.![]()

I tell people that one day you can be the biggest hero in baseball, and the next day, youre fired.........
I remember how often the Giants got handed the bag at some of the deals he traded and signed.....Trading away Joe Nathan, signing Barry Zito are just two of the examples.....I thought he was one of the worst GMs in baseball. Now look at him....I never thought this guy would EVER build a world series team and he did it before the Toronto Blue Jays
I want an explanation to why it wasn't Omar Minaya.
Scutaro too.
I don't like Sabean. He makes too many stupid moves to actually be considered a good GM.
But he has, overall, done well enough.
I don't know that the 2 rings is necessarily indicative of his baseball acumen though.
I guess Beane didn't do enough.
