Give me a Olt or Leonys Martin. We have enough 21-22 year old pitching prospects. If we get Martin Perez back as the key piece for Dickey, I'll vomit.
    1000% agree.

Hope in one hand, **** in the other. I don't see it happening. He gets blown away with every promotion. den Dekker is a loser. He'll be 26 next year and banking on this bum to turn around a 28% strikeout rate with mediocre power is like hoping to hit the powerball.

Olt would be the key piece. I said Olt and Martin or Perez since Texas may have to over pay.

Perez is 21 years old and left handed. How would you not want to get him back along with Olt in a deal?

I would take him along with Olt, but I'd rather Leonys Martin. He has a a nice fastball that sits 91-94 MPH with a nice change, but I can't understand why he didn't strike out more batters. His youth and left-handedness intrigues me though.

So would I, but I am being realistic here. We are more than likely going to get a pitcher from them since Olt is a position player.

I'd throw in another pitching prospect (Familia even) if it meant Olt+Leonys.

Martin Perez was starting games for the Rangers at the age of 21. There is no way anyone should be worried about how many guys he is striking out.

It would be like if we promoted Wilmer Flores to play 2B for us. The dude would get out matched most likely.

It's hard to type with my fingers crossed. lol

Olt and Leonys Martin would be fanfriggintastic. I'm not that high on Martin Perez, though. If we were unable to get Leonys, I would press for Luis Sardinas and Lewis Brinson.

With Elvis Andrus and Jurickson Profar ahead of him, Texas might be willing to part with Sardinas. Brinson is ranked as their #15 prospect, but as a 1st round draft pick just this year, the Rangers might want to hold onto him. Both of them are a good 2 to 3 years away from the majors.

7:25pm: The rangers have been told that greinke is not signing with them, reports mlb.com's t.r. Sullivan.
Now it is just a matter of who the Rangers want more Shields or Dickey. According to earlier reports Rangers were ready to make a deal if they lost out on Greinke.
