Let's get this done for Olt or maybe it pushes KC to give up Myers.

If it ends up going the way it's going now (Greinke to LA, Hamilton to TEX) then we are in damn good shape and it's great that Sandy didn't pull the trigger early. Unless I'm mistaken, this should increase the deals offered by both TEX and KC. I'm assuming TEX would still be in this despite signing Hamilton, not 100% positive but I think it would encourage them even further to go for the "win now" mode... Dickey would provide better bang for their buck than any FA left (not that there are many).

I would trade Dickey for Olt plus one decent pitching prospect (Grimm for example). That would get it done for me. Or maybe, Olt plus a very good bullpen arm. Something along those lines.

Obviously, I would love Dickey for Myers straight up, and would even consider throwing in a little extra something.

Or, if we can just agree to an extension on Dickey...that would be fine with me as well.

Awesome, we were never getting Myers anyway. Now Texas, Toronto, and other teams can bid for Dickey. Hopefully Upton stays put, I think he will.

I agree. They won't part with D'Arnaud. That's why I suggested in another thread we try to put together a deal to get Arencibia and Bonifacio. Would fill two holes very well.

Myers for Shields wasn't only straight-up deal Royals tried. KC offered Wil Myers to Oakland for Brett Anderson and were turned down, too.

Apparently the Royals tried to get Shields straight up for Myers and it didn't work.

The A's are incredibly high on Brett Anderson too (too high imo)

I love D'Arnaud. I don't see making any deals with Toronto without D'Arnaud (for any of Dickey, Niese or Mejia). But any package that includes D'Arnaud probably wins.
