Somebody will be willing to pay that, but it won't be the Mets.

Dickey not seeking 3/45. Not even close. We've reported for weeks 2 yr extension he wants is less than Peavy's 2/29, on top of 5 mil option

If the Mets aren't willing to pay Dickey 3 years $45 million (or 4 years $50 million if what he wants is an extension) then it's clear they plan on trading him. Look for it to happen soon after Grienke signs.

Don't know much about Myers. How far is he from the majors?

Those reports, if there was any truth to them, (like all reports this time of year) were before pitchers like Pettitte, Kuroda and Haren signed, Dickey has to be worth at least $15 million a year, and 3 years isn't too long to pay him.

3 years for $45 mil seems like a fair deal to me.

He has earned that type of deal.

I don't know why some of you people are so hell bent over it.

If we can't get a blue chipper for him...then sign him for 3 years $45 mil...I am fine with that.

^^ The question we must ask ourselves is, do we really feel comfortable sharing a locker room with this guy? ^^

The Mets won't give him that whether he's worth it or not.

    I think it's a fair request.

    It's certainly a fair request.

Do the Mets do it is a different question.

They aren't giving up a year of control so he can break camp with the team.

3-45 is more like it. Laughed my butt off at the reports he was willing to sign for 2/30 or even Ollie money at 3/36.

The man just won a CY and even though he's 37, he's showing no signs of regressing anytime soon.

He'll get 3/45 but not from the Mets which is a shame. That said, he probably just hurt his trade value.

    Boo hoo.

Now the Zen master says, "We'll see."
