incredible story. love me some andre. wish more athletes would do this.
most of you aren't old enough to remember that game show, but they had a show like that, where they give you like 90 seconds to just cram everything possible into a cart. I think they defined the winner with the person who got the most amount of crap.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

There were a few shows like that.

One story to me about a player that always sticks out is one about Aaron Rodgers the year I moved to wisco. He had the packers pr guy call the local Green Bay boys and girls club and tell them to bring 100 kids (I think) to the local bowling alley where they were gonna have a pizza and pop party funded by him. His instructions were that if anyone finds out about this before he wouldn't do it. Then when the kids got there he showed up w a ton of packers players and they hung out and afterwards each kid got a 100 bucks to go shopping with a packer player for presents. He paid for all of this out of his own pocket and didn't try to make it a publicity stunt.

Andre Johnson drops 19K on gifts for kids in CPS's care in Texas

Hey cool he did it. But the publicly stunt, kind of ruins it. For the kids who get something because of this I'm very happy.

But just like csstl said guys do this, but don't tell anyone all the time.

Cutler brought as much gifts he possibly could by himself to the children's hospital on Christmas and bounced like batman. Nurse tipped off the tribune only reason, anyone found out

This guy probably has a wrist watch worth 19k....I never understood when people think things like this are so great?!?!?!
Why shouldn't he be able to enjoy the benefits of the salary he works to earn?

The point is what it means to the kids who he is giving to, not how much money he has

Did you donate 19k? Would you give a 50 dollar bill to a homeless man on the streets? Odds are you wouldn't.

Does it matter how much money he spent? If it would have been a couple million is he a better person? It's the thought that counts and helping these kids have a great christmas. I don't care who you are, if you take the time out to do something for kids or whatever charity your a good person. People always get caught up in the money part of it. It's irrelevant.
