I like the way baseball is going with these extremely short contracts justified with paying a premium over market value.

Makes much more sense for franchises and gives enough incentives for players to accept shorter deals.

Second year in a row the Nats have given a one year deal to a name brand starter to be their 4th starter. Much respek.

The Nat's rotation is stacked on paper. They are going to be really good next year barring any serious injuries.

This team has the potential to be even better then last years team depending on health and the possible return of Laroche i mean we did come 1 strike and one out away from making the NLCS.

Haren has been an underrated player his whole career. He'll bounce back in Washington. Great signing and depth.

If he can get his fastball up to 90 to 91 MPH that will help him with his split-finger fastball and cutter that from what i understand are lethal and there are not many powerful offense's in the NL so he might very well thrive in the capitol city.
