This is a pretty solid list, although if I'm going off of potential, I'd put Lebron first and then the rest. Irving and Davis are obviously the two wild cards. The two of them and Rose (if he gets healthy) have the potential to rise to the top five of this list by the end of their careers.

Wait what's the criteria. Some guys are still in the league so is this based on no NBA experience but what they did in high school and College?

Tim Duncan is without a doubt one of the best players ever, but would you guys seriously take him over a young Shaq? The general consensus seems to be that Shaq underachieved, but even so, he still has as many titles as Duncan. The guy was so dominant, I think he is the clear cut number one right now.

    1. Shaq
    2. Duncan
    3. LeBron
    4. Robinson

Well, most of this is hindsight. It's really close, and I do agree that at the time if the two were in the same class it would be hard to convince anyone to take Duncan over Shaq. But, with hindsight, if you're a smaller market team, taking Duncan makes more sense. Shaq wanted Hollywood, Duncan doesn't. More teams would be wise taking Duncan over Shaq because of that.

Also, while it might be foolish to worry what the player will do 15 years after you draft him, I think Duncan's sustained success helps his case too.

I'm surprised nobody is putting Shaq over Duncan. They won the same amount of rings. Shaq had a FAR BETTER prime. Duncan has been good longer but still. Shaq won 4 rings during Duncan's prime. I'm not saying he should be higher, I'm just saying I'm surprised nobody thinks so.

Putting Oden at the bottom of the list is unwarranted. It's hard to fight a debilitating knee. He had all the talent to be great. you can't knock him for that.
