He got overpaid. You don't pay role players that much. To think this dude makes more than MJ did as the best in the league.

How many times do you have to bring this up? I'm guessing Neifi Perez got paid more than Babe Ruth in his prime did too. It's called inflation.
Most of Taj's defensive metrics and PER36 numbers are right near his career averages, where he's struggling is his FG% but it's not like he's an offensive guy. We all knew his jumper sucked. He has gotten his FT% up to a very respectable 78% so far.
He'll be fine, but he needs to do more work inside offensively, where his game clearly benefits.
Taj was one of the few Bulls players that played well during the Sixers series in the playoffs. I was hoping he was going to transition that good play into this year. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet.
It seems some Bulls fans always have excuses for our players.
Taj needs to step it up, plain and simple.
That 76ers series... who was guarding him? Young not one of the best low block defenders in league in Brand.

He got 3 point blank misses in the 1st half against Indy. IDK how he missed two dunks. One is fine but two?
I hate that high arc shot with all the backspin. It just lends itself to bricklaying. Unless you're Reggie or Dirk or Bird or someone really special.
So because his good form has a high arc with the proper spin, it lends itself to bricklaying. Yet some of the greatest shooters of all time had similar projections on their field goals.
Makes zero sense man. Gibsons' mechanics are fine, he just hasn't practiced enough and has nowhere near the confidence he should have in his shot.
It could sound like a stupid thing to say but in my experience watching basketball, not very many shooters have found high success shooting with a high trajectory. Sure there's outliers who truly stand out, but for the most part, shooters keep it down.
