    Valdespin Suspended

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Jordany Valdespin had a two-week absence from playing for his winter-ball club in the Dominican Republic because of a team-imposed suspension for insubordination, two sources told ESPNNewYork.
    -- Adam Rubin

Rated a bad nut by Willy Wonka's squirrels. Zero discipline. Rubin suggests reuniting him with Minaya in S.D.
"The 90 wins is about challenge. It's about changing the conversation. It's about framing questions for ourselves as to how we get there. So I stand by the notion that we need to get better, and in doing so we need to set concrete goals for ourselves so that we have sort of specific conversations among ourselves about how we're going to get there." -- Mr. Alderson

He seems like the forgotten man as I often forget he is on the team. I don't see him playing a role on the Mets unless Murphy is traded.

    Shocking!
I don't believe he has ever had a history of doing this.

    unbelievable, even with his reputation.

I wouldn't bother with him anymore. He doesn't have anywhere near the level of talent to over come his absent worth ethic.
"Mr. Martin Tanner, Baritone, of Dayton, Ohio made his Town Hall debut last night. He came well prepared, but unfortunately his presentation was not up to contemporary professional standards. His voice lacks the range of tonal color necessary to make it consistently interesting. Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order."

Apparently he just came off the 2-week suspension. Interesting how even with sports under a microscope and the global reach of the Internet that this is discovered after the fact. No one tweets in the D.R.?

Kinda like everybody in the MLB Forum thinks RA is worth a PEZ dispenser and a piece of Bazooka without the comics.

A 20 year old piece of Bazooka without the comics. Ever opened one of those baseball card packs from the 1980's in modern times? Yeah.

I have Bazooka to thank for my incredibly strong jaw line.

It was like grinding granite, even in the 1980s.
