I know he's a gold glove first baseman but let's face it our batting order needs a little more... A few more first basemen available the 3rd baseman. And it's just until Arods back. Tex came up as a 3rd baseman.

By his own admission, he was a poor fielding 3rd baseman. So much so, they needed to move him. I'm guessing it has something to do with his arm and not his glove.

No. Tex himself say he wasn't any good at third.
Beside we need his glove at first especially if Nunez is going to play.
Tex is the best first basemen in the mlb defense wise.
Just sign Keppinger he could play third and short.

tex ahsnt played 3rd base in a decade so it makes perfect sense to take his phenomal defense at first and move him to thrid, where there will be no foreseeable problems.....................
