In 2008, two losses at home Roethlisberger threw 7 combined interceptions in those two games alone. The following year, the Saints' first loss came at home and it was not nearly as close as the score indicates, all but three of New Orleans' points coming in the fourth quarter. And there are so many examples of the Giants last year to choose from. I think those three teams made it relatively far in the playoffs.

Here I was thinking the mark of a good team was that number in the W column. But I could be wrong. Being able to both stomp teams and come out ahead in the close games is what make you a good team. Contrast, for example, the Falcons, who have yet to have a dominant game, but always find a way to come out with a W, and the Panthers, who have only been blown out twice, are usually ahead near the end of the game, and then find ways to lose.

The Texans found a way to beat the Jags; saying they should have lost is inaccurate. That'd be like saying we should have lost to the Ravens. But, no, the team stepped up and found a way to win -- they earned the win, they deserved to win. As another example, the Panthers were leading the Bucs by 11 with 5 minutes to go. They ended up losing in OT. They were leading the Falcons by 1 with 59 seconds to go. They ended up losing. Good teams find a way to win.

That the Texans are 11-1 means they're a good team.

I like those throws, the defense reads the screen so instead of completing it to your running back for a loss and your RB getting killed, it's essentially a spike. Great job by Ziggy reading that screen and covering the running back.
