Yankees get:
Howie Kendrick
Garret Richards
Peter bourjos
Angels get : Cano
Cash should not go higher than 6 years with him. Looking at how this A-Rod debacle is turning out I think Hal won't let him offer Cano any more than that either
Haha
letting him walk is a horrible idea u either have to sign him or trade him. He is arguably the best 2nd baseman in the sport. Letting that go for nothing but a pick next yr is stupid.
I'd like to see them trade both Cano and Grandy for some top specs that would drastically speed up the rebuilding process.
If they sign him i think they should move him to 3rd base now. Arod needs to become the full time DH. Middle infielders don't generally age well and i don't think Cano will be the exception. He has the arm and bat to be a very good 3rd baseman and we have a very talented 2nd base prospect in Adams thats pretty much ready and could handle 2nd base just fine next yr.
Theirs not an easy decision with this one but were going to have to prepare for a couple yrs of rebuilding.

i would trade him for the sake of trading him, but if a decent offer presents tiself, i'm all for it. no way would I met cano's contract demands,a nd i bet someone will so trading him works fine as long as we don't pull a pirates and get 10 cents to the dollar in return

6/150 or 7 for 170 His Choice
Else trade Him for Some other teams farm

cano isnt worth some other teams farm, if we would have traded him a couple of years back, absolutely but on the verge of FA
Trade him now. He will be an epic failure and the most painful decline to watch in Yankee history. He is the perfect player to trade now for max value and return before the injuries start kicking in.
he's still a top 1-2 2nd baseman in the league, he has the capability of being a huge run producer while being an above average fielder. He might not be worth as much as if we traded him last yr but he would still get us a huge hall if the deal were done before the season started.
IMO u give him at the longest till the trade deadline to workout an extension or u have to trade him. I'd rather take the top prospects and finish 3rd or 4th in the division this yr than let him walk for a draft pick in the off season
