    This X 1,000,000...

Fans are super protective of "what could be", well GMs also have to think about the here and now. If trading prospects makes them a potential playoff or WS team most GMs are going to make that move if the deal is right (in some cases when its not)

If someone believes the reigning NL Cy Young winner can help them dramatically prospects are part of the drill.

I do. It's a 5 win SP for a prospect in the 50's who's at least a year away and an OF who's MAYBE top 100, and has no future in the organization.

Yes really. That's a top 10 and a top 40 prospect from the Jays, and maybe a top 50 and two guys outside the top 100 from the Angels.

    Keep him.
Like I said parts are interchangeable.

For instance Wilmer Flores the Mets top position player can be included in any of those deals. He is blocked by Wright and Davis and does not have the foot speed to move to the OF and be productive defensively.

They fit the mets needs. They need corner outfielders and cowart and cron are capable of converting to corner spots. Also they prob wouldn't have to give up another player in that deal.

Doesn't change the fact that the prospects that you mentioned from the Jays are much better than the ones you mentioned from LAA of A.

Are u guys not getting it. If they are trading for d'arnaud and gose they most likely would have to include other pieces.

Are you not getting it? The Jays wouldn't trade both Gose + D'Arnaud for a 38 year old plus other AAAAers

If they think dickey can help win the division and get into the playoffs they do.

Flores is a pretty highly touted prospect btw. Not a AAAA player. Just doesn't fit in the Mets plans.

Like I also said that's where I start negotiations. Most of you on here only read what you want to read....

    Wilmer Flores
    Jenrry Mejia
    Jeurys Familia
    Aderlin Rodriguez
    Michael Fulmer
    Domingo Tapia
    and maybe even Ike Davis

are far from AAAA players, most of which are still very very young.
