The **** are you guys so concerned about what a couple of bitter Sawx fans think for? I'm sure they were all cheering locking up a small fortune in middling talent like Victorino, Dumpster, and Napoli, since they'll be golden in 3 years and the Jays will be buried.
It's funny because 'Sox fans would be parading down streets if management were to get their hands on JJ, Reyes, Buehrle, Melky, and Dickey.
It's okay though, they can have fun with their sure-fire superstars Victorino and Dempster along with manager of the year John Farrell. Oh... and let's not forget their 'paid like an ace' starter John Lackey.
BACK ON TOPIC:
The Jays need to make a hard push for Dickey, even if it means possibly having to deal one of Gose/d'Arnaud. No point in investing so much just so the team can fall short of a playoff run. If you're increasing payroll to such a level, then might as well go all in and contend for a World Series championship for this upcoming season, and the next few years.
