I'm ok w/ 10 mil, considering he was asking 12-14, and upton a .245 hitter got 15 mil a year. I'd say we got the hometeam discount. Next up scutaro

I can live with this. Definitely not thrilled by any means though. Is this team really going to roll with the same exact lineup they used in the playoffs?

Hairston/Blanco platoon would make a ton of sense and is very feasible. Though I will still be hoping for much better than that.

BA isn't a good way to judge a hitter's worth, though Upton wasn't as good as people think he is.

Me either but I am thrilled that this probably kills the Victorino rumors.

then wake up and live my nightmare of Hairston as our starting LF I would rather have Ludwick as our starting LF than Hairston who's been a OF bench player all his career...but like what spliff mentioned, i guess i could live with a blanco/hairston platoon

I'd actually take Hairston over Ludwick all day.

I think we could probably still afford Swisher, this contact essentially replaces Huff's contract on the books. I am not exactly sure where the Giants currently stand budget wise but this isn't a crippling move financially.

The deal is a bit longer than I would've liked but I'm happy Pagan is back.
