I'm glad they got him for 3 years, now I would like to see us sign Swish for the right price. He would help make it a loose clubhouse and then go and try and sign B. Wilson.

Nice.
Glenn Ordway was ranting about this because he thought the Sox could pull it off for 1 year![]()

How much money do we have commited for next year with the Napoli signing?
I think its a great move by the sox. I know he isn't the best defensive 1st basemen in the world, but if we got Adam LaRoche, we would of surrendered a draft pick which is not worth it. Napoli has killed Fenway park and has killed us in the past. He is a sold pick up. If we can get McCarthy, Edwin Jackson, type of pitchers and get Cody Ross and work on the bullpen, the sox are right back in the playoff hunt. AL East will be wide open this coming year. Aroid is going to be out for a long time and the yanks are old as dirt, tampa bay is always tough, O's might of been a fluke but who knows and the Jays got better but sometimes trades like that don't work out well.
Good news is that the Sox still have a ton of flexibility when it comes to their money. I like it.
