Replace Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili from '03-'08 with Tracy Mcgrady those years?

Replace Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili from '03-'08 with Tracy Mcgrady those years?

How do the Spurs do with a Duncan and Mcgrady Combo each year from 2003 to 2008?

If we still have Bowen at SF and have a capable PG starting I think the results could be the same, seeing as T-Mac was better at the time. Neither player played with anyone as good as their counter part so it would have been interesting.

Probably near the same. People tend to underrate Manu, but he was right there with T-mac and Kobe. Injuries just kept him from getting the playing time that they got.

I think that is a huge reach. Manu was nowhere near Kobe or McGrady ever IMO.

I think the succes rate would have been similar assuming they had a quality point.

If TMac didn't get injured, he could've been special and playing with a guy like TimmyD would really help his game...

Wouldn't have won as many. Manu Ginobili is a special special player...people don't realize it because he plays in a small market team. Guy is very underrated. And I have always thought Tony Parker was an elite PG. Spurs have had more of a balanced team with Tony and Manu.

During that time period Tony Parker was possibly the best PG in the league come playoffs time. T-Mac is clearly the best player of the three, but the team with Parker and Manu definitely would have won more

    Cool.

Stats like PER, win shares per 48 min, o-rating, Adjusted +/- say otherwise.

You don't think they win in 2003 with peak Duncan and peak Mcgrady when they won essentially with rookie Manu and 2nd year Parker?

They could easily get a serviceable PG for that squad. They don't need a star PG when they got Duncan and Tmac on the squad.

Not sure. It really only started when I came to houston. The same as my fascination started with Wade when I lived in West Palm Beach.
