why are people so reluctant to give schaub props?

You never really hear his name in the list when people talk about top QB's in the league. Jaws just put him at #6 in his recent QB rankings, yet he doesnt get the same love on PSD boards.

Why isn't there any love out their for Schaubby?

He has a rating of 95.1, has 21 TDs to 9 INTS and completes 64% of his passes...also, he's 16-1 in his last 17 regular season games.

    Thoughts?

He has a receding hairline. He is the LeBron James of the NFL, via the direct application of the transitive property. /thread

    Good Line

    Good RB's

    Good Reveivers

He's gotta a lot of help. Not that he isnt good, but that could be a reason he isnt getting "props"

He's not flashy enough, can't throw a long ball.

He's as accurate as they come in passes under 30 yards and he throws a tight ball, great at dropping it into tight spots and can throw a good touch pass. He just doesn't have the cannon arm that makes you a "Super Star" in the public eyes.

I'm not saying he's elite or anything but he plays the kinda football that the Texans game plan needs it's QB to do. He needs a big 2 minute drill then he'll get the love he wants.

He would have a lot more redzone touchdown passes as well but if you ever watch Houston play you'd know how much we love our zone run's with Arian Foster for the scores.

1 good receiver - Andre Johnson
2 good tight ends - Owen Daniels, Garrett Graham
3 good running backs - Arian Foster, Ben Tate, Justin Forsett
    Good O Line

He really doesn't have that speedy slot that most teams have and he's lacking a big guy to throw a jump ball too other then the two TE's. They are pretty weak at the wide out position if you ask me and the Texans haven't really used Foster as a option to go out and make catches as much as they have in the past. They've really been trying to save him for the playoffs imo.

so why doesn't that logic apply to both Mannings, Brady, Ryan and Brees?

Schaub has been a top 10 QB for 4-5 years now

He's got the Best RB and WR in the NFL...

I give him props though. Plenty of NFL teams would love to have this guy.

Cuz the texans have a very balanced team. Additionally, Foster and JJ is eating up his airtime.
    Eli is over-rated though.

I agree with the OP. He doesn't appear to be gettin' much media love. It seems like last year/couple years ago he was gettin' his fair share but this year for some reason, not so much.

Matt Shaub is a great quarterback. He knows how to play the quarterback position in the NFL. He, however, does not stack up against the top five in this league and that is just the reality.

Totally agree with this post, hes really good just not great. There is only 5 great qbs in the league imo: Rodgers, Brady, Manning, E. Manning, Brees..

Because I happen to know that Matt Schaub's daughter is a lesbian and not only is his daughter a lesbian but his mom's a lesbian and his sister's a lesbian and his old granny has holes in her panties! Byahh! Byahh!

I've always liked him, but as others mentioned, he has a solid team around him. There's a lot ogle QBs that could do well in Houston's offence.

He has a solid team and has never really completed a season.
