Extent to which you trust people?

My parents. That's it. I'll give people some trust (a select few a lot), but never again will I trust someone 100%.

i used to be way too trusting. after learning the hard way a number of times i don't trust anyone outside of my immediate family. it's sucks that i've gotta be like that, but i've come to realize that's just the way the world works.

It's depends what you are talking about. I can trust most of my friends and my family with important stuff. I know they aren't going to rob me if I leave the room. As far as some small things, a lot of my friends can sometimes flake on planes, they trusting people to go out isn't always good.

As far as strangers, I don't trust them with anything important.

I often don't trust people but i also am not paranoid. When i go the mechanic, i make an effort to find one that will likely be honest after which i accept what comes. The law of averages tell me that most people won't **** me but i still don't leave my **** laying around when i'm with a bunch of shady people i don't know well. If i do something which i don't think is stupid and get ****ed it doesn't make me trust people less.

How do you test them?

Tell them something that isn't true or something you don't mind other people knowing and tell them to keep it to themselves. Watch and enjoy as the who town finds out.

Or go to them when you truly need help. Most people are only fair weather friends. When the going gets rough, they bail.
