Rays to sign James Loney

They acquired Yunel Escobar to upgrade at SS and have had success in the past with moves like this. If you don't have anything positive to say, then don't say it at all.

Yunel actually has some legitimate value, though.

If Yanks do not sign Chavez, I can see him being their platoon lefty at 1B. But I think Chavy like NY...not sure if Yanks want to go that direction again though.

I would like to see Rays add more offense. Shields, Price, Hellickson, Moore is a great 1-4.

Loney and Chavez are both lefties..
