Sources: Pagan close to re-signing with #SFGiants.
    - Rosenthal

I'm sure it'll be for four years. I just hope it's nothing more than 4/40 even though I believe it'll be for more.

Again, that could have been inaccurate, I just know Arrieta for one has some good value around the league. Tillman was a whole different pitcher and was one of our best in that final half of last year. I think he could be close to fetching Hosmer.

Look at the year Tillman had and look at the year Hosmer had. Tillman was on the upswing and Hosmer hit like .230 with a .300 OBP last year.

This is referring to the report saying we want Hosmer or Butler.
I don't think that trade is too far off, O's would have to add something for one of Hosmer/Butler though.

The Headley for Arrietta swap is surely inaccurate. Headly has a TON of value after last season. Arrieta isn't on the same level IMO. But I'm just a joe schmo not an MLB exec.

4/40 for Pagan doesn't seem too bad. If he's half the player he was last year (In terms of WAR) He's still worth it.

Yeah I like that he only cost 10 million per year, I think he is a good fit with the Giants.

The Red Sox met with Mets to talk about possible trade for R.A. Dickey, according to a baseball source. Mets want Bogaerts and Bradley, Jr.

According to Baseball America, that's Boston's #1 and #2 prospects.

Were the Mets going to throw in Giancarlo Stanton too?

    Unreal.

Apparently the Mets are frustrated with the offers they are getting for Dickey.

Well he is pretty damn old, what do you expect to get for him?

I remember when 41 year old Randy Johnson signed with the Yankees. It's sort of the same thing. He is still good, but how much longer is he going to be good? His decline has to be close.

I'm sure they will end up with a nice spec for him, maybe even two. But even with his recent dominance, his age makes him a tough sell.

I feel like he is going to be a very real overpay.
