I've only seen three 30 for 30's; The Dotted Line, The House of Steinbrenner, and There's No Place Like Home. All three were really good and both The Dotted Line, and The House of Steinbrenner are on Netflix.
I had no idea George offered him 250k right out of high school to play for the yanks after a great story.
George heard about this high school phenom. Went down to see him personally with one of his scouts. He asked Bo to take batting practice. On the first pitch, he hits a line drive so hard it collapses the batting cage.
George said ' that's all I need to see' and left. Offered 250k the next day.
Bo and mom declined.
Oh, what coulda been...
From what I understand, George was dissuaded from his early instinctual enthusiasm by an aspiring college second baseman named Brain Cashman.
"Beats me. This guy behind me with the phone said he's a season ticket holder. You're going to have to ask him....."
