That stadium will eat him alive. At least he is far away from the press.

The Mets are looking for a veteran left-handed reliever, and they’ve inquired about LHP Manny Parra, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

Parra was non-tendered by the Brewers last Friday.

In 62 relief appearances for the Brewers in 2012, Parra, 30, went 2-3 with a 5.06 ERA in 62 relief appearances, holding left-handed hitters to a .229 average.

Parra did not pitch in the Major Leagues in 2011, and hasn’t posted an ERA below 4 since 2007.

Mets are interested in Vinnie Pestano on the Indians. He's a beast I would love to deal for him.

AdamRubinESPN Sandy Alderson said he spoke to Scott Hairston's agent today. Thinks they may get some OFer in Nashville -- Hairston or otherwise. #mets

AdamRubinESPN Alderson said he will be "careful" about giving multi-year deal to outfielder. Didn't rule it out. Not eager.

I do not want Hairston to be our big FA OF signing. **** that, sign Ludwick.

AdamRubinESPN Alderson said no active talks with teams about Jon Niese. Any future talks would be starting from scratch.

McCulloughSL Alderson says there's been "virtually no discussions with anyone" about trades for Niese. It's Dickey or bust.
