Looking at his home/away splits the last two years, and his $10 million price tag, I'd say he wouldn't be a good fit.
For a team in a hitters park (like with the Brewers) he probably hits 275 30hr 90rbi, for a team like the Mets he hits 260 20hr, 75rbi which is better than the Mets have now, but not worth $10 million.
Still A Better Umpire Than Angel Hernandez!!!
KBurkhardtSNY #Mets prefer to get catcher via trade. Not thrilled w any FA. Have discussed Olivo, even Torrealba although that is highly doubtful.

AdamRubinESPN Olivo tops Mets' free-agent catcher list
Conflicting reports about a catcher.
I'll bet the OF being considered w/o RA is Bourjos. Just a hunch since he's probably undervalued, can lead off, and can't land an everyday spot in LA.
Olivo/Shoppach are fine by me. Anything else would cost a ton in dollars or players.
-- the InternetFree agent righty Mike Pelfrey is getting a lot of play, tweets Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, with the Mariners, Indians, Twins, and others in the mix. The Pirates were connected to Pelfrey earlier.
Pelfrey, 29 in January, had Tommy John surgery in early May and was non-tendered by the Mets last week.
RIP: Vladythegreat27
In the event we do trade Dickey, I'd love to bring Pelf back. Doesn't seem likely though.
....all I know is that the Mets have been really busy.
