This is ridiculous. I'm not saying go get Josh Hamilton... not at all.

But at least throw us a friggin bone here. You can't go into 2013 with your OF being Duda, Kirk and Baxter. Geeez.

    Exactly, they have done NOTHING.

We need to wrap up Cody Ross quickly! He's about the only outfielder with out skill set that is affordable and decent.

I'm not the biggest Cody Ross guy, but I agree. I'd be happy if they signed him and re-signed Hairston. It would give us more right-handed pop. I'd like to trade for a catcher somehow, a guy like Olivo would be a terrible pick-up.

Our whole off-season is waiting on Greinke and Dickey. Things need to progress quicker.

Everything should not be held up by RA, this is exactly what happened under Omar, which shows who is actually pulling the strings is Jeff Wilpon.

No because what happens with Greinke gets certain teams invloved in Dickey and makes them more desperate. Sandy is holding out for the best possible talent he can get, as he should, and if not, I'm sure they will re-sign him.

There's no reason this team has to wait on RA to improve the team with an OF'er or reliever. It's just another excuse for inactivity.

There is from a business point of view of maximizing ROI.

Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

In all fairness to the Wilnotpons…what's the harm in waiting on the Dickey trade? Or any major trade? I think they would pull the trigger on a deal involving one of the prime OFers or Catchers they have their eye on if the other team would do the same. Maybe by waiting a bit the other team see things differently and will go for the deal.

I don't see any harm in waiting until the so-called logjam opens up. If we are still like this 3 months from now, then that is a different story.

I have heard this rationale every year for several years and we always end up with nothing.

And you may be 100% correct, probably are 100% correct; but a little patience here is the right move.
