    Can't make this stuff up

So I came home yesterday from an afternoon in the city and my 8-year-old daughter was proud to report that she got a new app on her iTouch: Family Feud.

Then she told me she and her mommy were playing the game when the question came up, "Name a professional New York sports team. Since her daddy taught her well, she punched in "Mets."

But she was disappointed to find out it netted zero responses. So she asked me,

"Daddy, are the Mets a professional sports team?"

Feel free to insert your own punchline.

Sorry FOC but raising your daughter to be a Met fan is unfit parenting.

Being a Met fan humbles you at least.

It's grounding and i don't think there is anything wrong that personality trait.

I read this little quip about a month ago about Governor Christie and his kid being Met fans, found it amusing..

    http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf...es_regret.html

Finally, he joked about his status as a long-suffering Mets fan.

"My wife says to me, 'Why did you make our son be a Mets fan? You coulda let him be a Yankee fan and he coulda been happy.' I said, 'As a Mets fan, he's going to understand pain and disappointment. Other losses that he experiences in life, he'll keep in perspective.' "

Interesting . . . how many New York professional sports teams are there?
    Mets
    Knicks
    Nets
    Rangers
    Yankees
    Islanders
    Buffalo Bills
    Buffalo Sabres

Any other teams that actually play in New York?

Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
