Tmac was the better player at that point in his career, this was his last great year and Wade's first one. Both players were learning how to play with their big man, both players put up better #'s without the other. Its comparable in the regular season, though I have to add that JVG tried to structure the offense around Yao, unfortunately Yao wasnt ready for the role just yet, as it was it wasnt until that momentous Spurs game that JVG gave the keys to Tmac. From that point forward Tmac played at a different level and his playoff performance is pretty underrated I think.

Ive said it plenty of times but he took the far superior Mavs to 7 games despite his starting PF being injured, his backup PF being traded, and having a D-Leaguer defend the MVP candidate on the opposing team. How did they even steal a few games in Dallas? Oh yea Tmac hit that GW on KVH I think it was. Too bad everyone forgets those moments once the superior team hits its stride.

Do you think the Heat win the title that year with Tmac over Wade?

Why not, Wade was hurt and they pushed the Pistons to 7, fair to say with a healthy Tmac throughout that they have an easier time. Healthy Tmac definitely > Hurt Wade. One thing to keep in mind is that Tmac allows Eddie to play his natural position. You wouldnt have to worry about SF's posting up Eddie or Wade. Defensively Wade was a roamer but Tmac was smarter with his positioning and much better on the ball that year.

Like I said this was his last truly great year

Wade was only injured for game 6 vs the Pistons that season. He also played quite well in game 7.
