Yeah, Marco can most closely duplicate what Rip does with that group with shooting off screens too. As well as still having Jimmy's energy off the bench to back up the 2/3 spots.
Well from what I've read on it so far, plantar fasciitis is usually a long lingering injury that doesn't heal/takes very long to heal. Tearing a plantar fascia is actually a treatment method for plantar fasciitis.

Hell yeah plantar fasciitis is horrible. it's horrible watching Peppers play because he's dealing with that.
Noc had that a few years ago and really messed him up. I believe Jo did too?

Rip's injury is a big deal in my opinion considering his offense has been vital to all the games we won this year. I know we won the last two games and the one against the Mavericks was very impressive but I still haven't bought in that the Bulls are finally clicking now, so I wouldn't be surprised to lose both of the next two games and the schedule doesn't get any easier after we beat the Pistons. The schedule was working in our favor for chemistry until Rip went down. It's a good thing though that he won't be out for long and the injury isn't something that will bother him after he heals.
The Pacers may not be all that great but against us is a different story and the Cavaliers are very improved imo, all their games go down to the wire.
I agree to start Belinelli because him starting should really speed up his ?confidence? ?chemistry?, whatever it is that has him looking shaky out there, although it would have been ideal against scrub teams. Is Belinelli really an off the screen shooter (Ray Allen, Rip, Korver) ? He has looked terrible when we use Rip's plays for him, he doesn't seem to have the coordination for that, he looks like he needs to have his feet set good to knock down a shot. That would be awesome though if he can handle those plays.
I wouldn't be surprised if Thibs starts Butler though as he loves defense and if the opposing teams' SG is good then I wouldn't blame him. I would just hate having to have Butler switch all over the place like Brewer did, although I'm sure he can handle it, it's always good to get players established in their roles.

Noah, Gibson, Nocioni, and i'm pretty certain Rose and Boozer have all had plantar fascitis.
Putting a positive spin on Rip's injury:
1) gives Marco/Jimmy more minutes, hopefully they take advantage of it
2) gives Rip a short window of rest in an 82-game season
3) it's early in the season and isn't a serious injury that should have him miss more than 1 week or so
Ice! Ice! How can we be out of ice?!?!
Maybe its a good time for the Bulls to sign CDR to a 10 day contract!
Tmac would have come in handy with this. We should give him a ring.
