I find it amazing that the Mets give away Pagan for nothing and he wins a title and gets a huge contract.

He sucked in 2011 for us, the Mets thought they were getting a similarly valued OF and a very good setup man.

I think the Mets culture makes people suck and they want out. Besides Dickey, who is a freak, it seems most guys go south there.

The Mets acquire guys way past their prime a lot too.

Guys like Mo Vaughn, Roberto Alomar, Carlos Baerga, etc etc..

Honestly i think that Citi Field in it's prior incarnation actually scared Jason Bay and got into his head.

We had guys who didn't go south though like Beltran, Delgado, Piazza, Olerud, Ventura etc etc.

Well, I think you have some issues there.

I guarantee our fans would take:

Ellsbury over Grandy
Middlebrooks over Arods replacement
And most of them like Swisher over itchy

Oh, and they save about $70 million over us.
