I love da flyin' Hawaiian as I am one myself... HOWEVER,,, that has got to be the worst contract of the offseason so far. For Shane, it was ALL about the $$$ you and I know and he knows that at 32 yrs of age, this will probably be it for him! Kudos to the RS for continuing to give out ridiculous contracts after getting rid of so many of them lol!

My wish list as follows:

Kubel, Morse or Ichiro. I'd probably resign Ichiro regardless. Sign Pierzynski. If he wants 2 years then give him 2 years. Youkilis on a 1 year deal would be good. Hairston, Chavez and Ibanez brought back on 1 year deals as well. Trade Granderson for some prospects. Trade Cano for some prospects. Bring in Keppinger to replace Cano.

C - AJ
1B - Teix
2B - Keppinger
3B - Youkilis
SS - Jeter
LF - Kubel/Morse
CF - Gardner
RF - Ichiro

Bench: Chavez, Hairston, Ibanez, Nunez

Some nice prospects from Granderson and Cano could possibly be in lineup as well. I'll admit this lineup possesses less power but I feel would be more of a contact hitting lineup that would generate runs.

I wouldnt want Reynolds because he K's way too much. Thats something I hope this team gets away from. I'd rather see guys who put the ball in play and make things happen. Not really interested in the all or nothing guys.

I don't get the hate. The guy gets on base more often than Ichiro, yet everyone seems enamored with bringing him back.
