He's signed:
RotoworldAccording to WEEI's Alex Speier, the Red Sox have agreed to a three-year deal with Shane Victorino.
It's worth $38.75 million. Victorino had a number of other three-year offers and even one four-year proposal, but Boston gave him the best annual average salary and the chance to contend immediately. The 32-year-old is expected to start in right field. He batted .255/.321/.383 with 11 homers, 55 RBI and 39 stolen bases in 154 games this past season between the Phillies and Dodgers.
Idk if this is the right place for this but I'd figure that you guys would see this. I read an article that said they had a source from arods camp saying that depending on how his recovery is he may hang them up afterwards. It quoted someone saying arod knows how much of a liability he has become to the yankees. How donyou guys feel about this speculation? Any truth behind it?
I'd hate to see him go out this way, but I'd love his money off the books.
Hafner: 32 Games / 6 HRs / .382 wOBA
100 percent agree. If only he would step up to the plate and agree to restructure his contract then it wouldn't be so bad. The article says that hes comfortable with how much money he made in his career so it wouldn't be hard to step away. But why go out like this? Restructure your contract and people will grow to respect you more.

Keppinger is seeking 3 years. Guess Youkilis is our best bet at this point?
Yeah Keppinger won't be coming here most likely. Smart move by him to capitalize and get a multi year deal.
Fantastic.

Anyone hear what kind of money for Keppinger?
3 years or not, couldn't be a ton of money. I don't think that would necessarily stop Cashman. A decent hitting utility infielder is something a team can always use. Considering the needs of the team at 3rd, and Short going forward, might be worth it to spring for him.
If ARod does indeed go out that way (forced retirement due to YOU KNOW WHAT!) he really has nobody to blame but himself. I actually encourage it!! This guy is done and only a fool would believe all these injuries are just due to his age.
Be a man ARod - the gig is up!!
GO YANKEES!!!!!
Cashman has apparently talked to agents for Youkilis, Pierzynski, Chavez, Ibanez, Ichiro. Exciting.
One year wonders!
Love it.
