If Hughes pulls a Kennedy, people won't care that much. Kinda like.....Kennedy.
I don't care, Kennedy had his chance here.

Then who replaces him in the rotation? An overprice Lee? the second coming of Pavano? Try yet another unproven arm in the farm?

That's Cashmans job. But I wouldn't pay 5/75 for Hughes.

Hughes pitched two winnable games in the postseason, it was our offense that made him lose them.

Fact. And the same goes for almost every starter pitching in the postseason. If the offense was mediocre we would have won those games. They couldn't even get to that level.

I agree, but this is the make or break year for Hughes. He needs to put up or shut up...he is past the bullpen and finally healthy, he needs to show what his true potential is this year to warrant staying.

More like 3 or 4, he was just injured most of the time. Whenever he did pitch though, he wasn't anything special. I know though, it's the whole AL East vs. NL west debate again.

Right, I think the most he gave up was 2 or 3 runs in one start.

I know his career numbers aren't great, but this past one he was better.
