    Why didn't the Yankees try to sign Dan Haren for 1 year and then trade Hughes or Nova for some infield help?

    Haren signed for just $13 million and 1 year. So that is now Martin and Haren to other teams and the Yanks do not make an attempt....

    Hopefully Youkilis comes to NY...Of course the price has to be right..But Hal will order Brian to sign a 42 yr old player out of the mexican league...

    If we're ever concerned with trying some of our youth we need to hold on to our younger players and not block guys. Finding out what Hughes, Nova, and Phelps are, will help us going forward. Signing a dude with a questionable back.... not so much

    Haren may not even pass his physical and has big time health problems going forward. Glad the Yanks didn't make a move for him.

    Looks like Sox closing in on Victorino and Lohse.

    My opinion is that them plus Napoli and Gomes is a huge waste of loot.
