I agree he isn't a bad option, however, how many years do you think Ross is looking for??? 3, 4 or more? At that rate, stick with the man you know is great part of the team. Right?

Has anyone else read the report that Hiroyuki Nakajima is in play for the Yankees for 3B...this is the same Japanese player that they Yankees could not come to agreement with after winning the rights to negotiate. Sounds promising....

Scouting reports I read on him questioned his arm at SS. Not sure how 3rd would work. That said, Nakajima could be interesting. I still like Drew. And Reynolds would give us some RH pop.

I like Reynolds for the spot too. He adds right handed power that they need, he plays 3B/1B and can DH. I think Shierholtz should be signed as a 4th outfielder. And i have a gut feeling that Cashman will surprise as with a semi-big trade. Cody Ross is not a bad idea in RF if they limit him to 3 yrs at most. For catchers i would love a trade for Ryan Hannigan. Maybe sign AJ and have Hannigan back him up, or maybe a platoon at C with maybe Hannigan and Jaso. RF is a big ? mark though and i really dont know what they will do. I think i read somewhere (maybe mlbtr) that Justin Upton was in play for them, but i dont know how likely that is...same with Stanton. Of course Jim Bowden tweeted that Hamilton was an option...

What in the hell is the point of this? 9 hr and 40 rbi in the cleanup spot?? That is not a dream that is a nightmare. Even if that nightmare became reality the order is WAY the hell off.

It makes me angry but just to correct such an obscene lineup:

Sign Dan Haren...Pitching is most important and with CC showing signs of decline, Yanks need to reload. That's a 1...2 punch most orgs don't have. Push Kuroda to the 3 and Petitte to the 4....Not worried about offense.

Thoughts of the same exact pitching staff completely bore the hell out of me. Here's the smartest thing I've ever heard Curt Schilling say: " A quality start in the playoffs is usually a loss". Love that. Yankee staff is full of potential quality start guys which is why we win 90+ games but i think you need that extra something in the playoffs and I think Dan Haren is exactly that....
