Why can't we get Chase Headley already? And have Eric Chavez back up...
Yeah, and I'll take Swisher too with Ichiro as the fourth OF. Thank you very much...

RotoworldAdam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that Scott Hairston is drawing "real interest" from the Yankees, Giants, Cardinals, Indians and Tigers.
Hairston also hasn't ruled out a return to the Mets. The 32-year-old batted .263/.299/.504 with 20 homers and an .803 OPS this past season and seems likely to land a multi-year deal.
RotoworldJoe McDonald of ESPN Boston reports that the Red Sox met with the Mets to discuss a possible trade for R.A. Dickey.
McDonald hears that the Mets asked for prospects Xander Bogaerts and Jackie Bradley, Jr., so the conversation probably didn't last very long. The thought is that the Mets could wait to see how the market shakes out with Zack Greinke before deciding what to do with Dickey. Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said Monday that he wants to land a "difference maker" in a possible deal.
Red Sox will definitely not deal their top two prospects for Dickey.

Rangers close to a deal with Soria...
Thought he would have been a great option for us.
RotoworldJon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Tigers have offered Scott Hairston a two-year contract.
The Tigers are looking at him as a potential platoon partner for Andy Dirks in left field. Hairston is also reportedly drawing interest from the Yankees, Giants, Cardinals and Indians.
Soria deal with Rangers probably gonna be 2 years - 8-9M. That would have been a great deal for the Yankees I would have thought. Let him work his way back from TJ in 2013 and if he's back to form he could take over the closer job in 2014 for 4-5M. This is where the whole 1 year deal nonsense is the most ridiculous thing I've heard. The Yankees do have to field a team in 2014 right? So why not try to have some spots under control before going into that offseason?
I guess the Yankees like the thought of putting a whole team together in one offseason with a strict budget though.
