Sox still talking to Swisher and Ross. The Napoli signing likely means they arent pursuing LaRoche.

When was the last time the Yankees traded for a stud in his prime?

The yankees are always getting players that have 1 season left of maybe prime ball and then they freakin decline......

I would trade anyone in our farm for a 23-27 year old STUD!

And also note - anyone in the 23-27 year old group likely is very affordable (400k - 2/3 mm a year only!)

Our farm has shown that its overrated, and half get hurt.

The Padres would be smart to sell high on Headley. Im sure they would get a nice return. Not sure how we would match up with them in a trade. Yes please on Morse, he's a beast.

teams aren't linign up to trade 23-27 year old studs, espcialyy since those are the years when the said studs are cost controlled

I agree not lining up, and the big competitors (angels, red sox, tigers, Phillies, etc) aren't going to trade them PERIOD.

However teams like the Royals, Padres, Marlins, Pirates, etc. WILL for the right package.

I mean, is Napoli that much better than Martin?

He will wreck them at 1b.

    3/39???

they dont trade them until they are clsoer to free agency, which is the back end of your time frame at best. those kind of palyers dont just grow on trees. and what they would want back are studs closer to the begining part of your time frame, which kind of defeats the pruspose anyway

Morse would be a nice addition. Can play outfield and 1B. Last year he was hurt so I wouldnt use last season as a reference but 2011 he hit .303 31HR 95RBI's.

Nevermind, last year, even though missing around 60 games he was very productive as well. Im all for him.

Should be a fun week of trades and signings but I don't expect much if anything from the Yanks.

And any team that signs Josh Hamilton to a longterm deal is making a huge mistake.
