I just read the Rays MAY put Price on the block this off season. Not sure we could get it done . The Rays wouldn't have any use for NC with Longo at third. But what and addition to the team. Having JV and Price going 1-2 every five days? Wow!

It would be amazing but i would imagine if he was put on the block that it wouldnt be very difficult for another team to trump our offer. Nick C, Garcia, and Smyly may seem like a very lucrative offer to us, but im betting other people only see Nick C and filler. We just dont have the farm to get this done. You'd have to gut the team and give up Jackson too....and theres no way they do that.

Just about every team would have interest, but only a handful have the depth to get it done. Texas seems to be the logical chocie. Profar/Olt/Perez would be a nice start, but I think the price for Price would be astronomical.

I'd sell everything not named Verander and Cabrera to get him. It's very unlikely but the thought of Verlander/Price is mind blowing.

Verlander, Price, Fister, Smyly, Porcello sounds pretty good to me.

Scherzer, Crosby, Putkonen, Castellanos, and Santiago should be a good starting point for negotiations.

I really don't think we would have the right pieces. Because it's not just about talent to get him but also about money. We wouldn't be able to trade somebody like Scherzer because he would get expensive real fast as well.

The Rays don't really need pitching anyway, they would be looking for hitting that's locked up long-term and cheap.
