The Nets lost to the Miami heat in one of their first big tests of the season as D-Wade finally posted the kind of number we are used to seeing from Wade (he must have been reading the PSD forums and wanted to prove the PSD posters wrong about his decline). They needed two overtimes to do it, but the Trailblazers beat the Cavs despite a big night from All-Star hopeful Anderson-V. Damian “Sparkles” Lillard posted a game high 24 points and a game high 11 assists. Philly fell to the Bulls as the Bulls go double-doubles from Boozer and Noah. The Hornets, still without first overall pick Anthony Davis, fell to the Thunder behind big nights from Durant and Westbrook. The Rockets managed to outlast the Jazz at home during a shooting that saw the two teams combine for 240 points! The Rondo-less Spurs lost to the Bucks on the road. Larry Sanders had another big game off the bench. Pop’s decision to rest four players paid off as the Spurs defended their home court against the team with the league’s best record in the Memphis Grizzlies, though they needed overtime to do it. Fisher started in his Mavs debut (Collison was relegated to the bench, though he did get more minutes than Fisher), as the Mavs beat the woeful Pistons who have the most loses in the league right now (they are tied though with several teams). The Kings failed to put a competitive team on the floor against the Clippers. LAC brought in the bench for most of the second half of the game as they had already established a comfortable lead by half-time. And the Pacers got sent to one game below .500 by the Goldenstate Warriors who are continuing to win despite Bogut absence.
Gotta go with Duncan for line of the night myself.
