Not a Brooklyn fan at all, but you guys need to give them time...the money is irrelevant, change HAD to happen for the Nets and they took a step in the right direction. All they did tonight was lose to a better team, the moves they made in the off season may have not been the most "popular" with some of you, but it instantly made them into the 2nd or 3rd best team in the Eastern conference, and that is saying a lot! since every team after them suck very bad.

I'd rather have an overpaid 11-5 team than an bunch of bargain players on a .500 team. They paid their way to success. It's textbook Yankees philosophy. If you overpay a $20 million dollar player you are probably still getting $10 million dollar player value.

Lol I love all these people always talking about box scores and advanced stats, these are probably the same people who never picked a basketball up before and have played competitively. Deron was picking apart the team last night and Joe Johnson is known to come up short in big games all the time, but he's still one of the best SG's in the game.

why would you pay so much for a backcourt? guards are commodities, bigs are luxury goods and the nets have subpar bigs. Brook Lopez is pretty good, he should be an allstar, but humphries and gerald wallace making a combined 20 mil? give me a break. The nets should have JJ on the block, the mavs are paying Mayo like 7 mil, the Knicks are paying JR and Brewer nothing. There were better players than JJ that could have been had, but stupid Prokorov thinks that when you pay 20 mil for a player in the nba, you get a player who plays like he is payed 20 mil. lol.
