Supposedly Ruben is kicking the tires on him. He did have a good year last year. 32hrs and batted .262. He is do 36m over the next 2 years. I am sure the Cubs would have to pick up a big chunk of it.

The Cubs really want to dump him. I would pick up half. I am sure the Cubs would be happy. But i would rather see Ruf in LF instead. Soriano is horrible in the LF.

False...he had one. Seven in 2010 and 2011, Eleven in 2009...notice a trend.. Judging outfielders by errors is not a good way to determine defensive value...hence dWAR. Errors are just one of many variables. Originally Posted by 85BearsDefense

dWAR is the best way to determine defensive value...how can you put too much faith in that? (in terms of defense) It technically is a balance of every defensive measurable possible. Originally Posted by Illa215

Mike Trout had 4 errors last year, Soriano had 1. Who would you rather have in your outfield? Speaking just defensively its not even close. My point is errors dont really tell much whe.n it comes to outfielders defensive skills
