With the deal the Twins just got for Revere, I'd be surprised if the Rockies don't trade Fowler. If B-Jax can put together a solid season and reduce his K's, we could get a good amount for him I'd imagine or just hold on to him. But 20 HR power, 20 SB speed, and solid plate discipline and defense in CF is a hot commodity right now.

McCarthy's popularity as a human gets him slightly overrated as a player IMO. Being able to give innings is just massively underrated in general, and the fact that the Cubs have innings questions with most of their starters already makes him a non-miss to me.

I actually like Feldman anyway, and buy the McCarthy-lite stuff.

They'll probably give up a premium and receive a CF'er who's struggled at times defensively and hasn't hit outside of Coors.

Leake will suck balls in Coors, Stubbs blows. Fowler wont do much.

The Phillies were talking to the Rockies about Fowler before they got Revere. If the Rockies turned down Worley and May, and take Stubbs and Leake, that would be ridiculous.

Same here. Fowler would be moving from one hitter's paradise to another, and I don't hate his tools or swing.

If the Cubs are waiting until next offseason to make a big splash it would make sense. You will have more contracts coming off the books and also the Cubs will be getting a good TV deal. Plus they will be on year closer to our prospects being ready to go. Not only that we may know at the end of the year if Jackson is worth our time. I am very happy that we didnt lock ourselves into any of these bad contracts. Save now and spend later.
