Wow, more quiet than I thought it would be today. Really hope this is the calm before a major storm.

I just wanna say that I appreciate the effort some of you posters put forth. By far the most enjoyable forum to read. I really hope the Cubs re-capture my interest this season.

Going off the past couple of seasons, I fully expect a 'that came from left field!' signing and or trade(s). Sure Dickey will go somewhere and Greinke likely signs with the Dodgers with Sanchez re-upping with Detroit, but I could see a hypothetical 'Adam Wainwright and Kolton Wong for Dustin Pedroia' type 'wait, what?!' type deal going down as well. Should be fun.

We have auditors until Wednesday at work, not too thrilled about missing most of the action this week. Have fun everyone!

75/25 says he does. Mets have holes everywhere, dealing Dickey likely allows them to fill 2 or 3 of them long term. Could see them matching up with the Blue Jays and landing Arencibia, Gose, Sam Dyson and another arm for Dickey plus...

Huh, had no idea. Good to know for fantasy baseball purposes I suppose.

Are there any other names of that caliber that are as high as say 70/30 to be moved?

The way it sounds down here, James Shields is 85/15, Upton is 70/30 and the likes... Interesting names I've heard are Mark Trumbo, Danny Espinosa and Roy Halladay have all had their names brought up a bit mroe than you'd expect...

    T.R. Sullivan:

The Rangers have re-signed catcher Geovany Soto. The deal is pending a physical and has not been announced yet. But the Rangers are bringing back at least one of their catchers.
    Tim Brown:

The Rays appear to be close to signing James Loney. Good fit there.
    Jim Bowden:

James Loney and Rays close to one-year deal....Loney would replace Carlos Pena at 1B...also talking to Nats on starter for Morse & Espinosa
    Ken Rosenthal:

#Rays indeed close to signing free-agent 1B James Loney, source confirms.

    Appreciated as always Ty.

What makes James Loney a "good fit" anywhere?

I'd be really interested in seeing what offers are tossed around for Upton
