Id actually rather do Dickey straight up for TDA than Gose and JPA. JPA is just as bad as Thole but with power. Id rather just let Duda play every day. He will hit for about the same numbers as JPA. I do REALLY like Gose though. 70 steals in 2011

So Dickey doesn't want to sign longerm with Toronto? That's what's holding it up now according to Joel Sherman

I said it before. JPA is someone that Gee can net you, not the reigning Cy Young winner.

Gose would obviously be the top prize here not JPA

Gose+ would be fine with me, but I don't want JPA. He just seems like he'd be a waste of value.

Also Toronto is much better park to hit for power than LAA ballpark.

If the Mets are waiting on the extension to complete the trade, then I can't see JPA as the centerpiece.

He kinda is.... JPA isn't very good at all. Below average defensively, horrible on base skills.

He has some pop but so does Rod Barajas.... I don't think you'll find many Jay fans thinking JPA is a special talent, he'd be the "throw in piece", the deal would be centered around Gose or whatever prospect they end up agreeing on (maybe Sanchez or Syndergaard are in talks, who knows)....

What if we sweeten the pot with Flores.
Come on Sandy get your thumb out of your arse.

Anthony Gose was a .255 hitter in the Minors until playing in the PCL.

JPA shouldn't be the centerpiece, period.... Dickey is worth far more than a bad catcher.

I think, if it's Toronto, it'll be Arencibia and Gose for R.A.

If the issue is an extension, I have a hard time believing its ONLY Gose and JPA. I think AA would move that package for Dickey for 1 year considering Gose is the only one with value

You should learn more about Gose before you judge. While his average still leaves a lot to be desired there's a LOT of reasons why it's still lower than most people expect.

Mainly, one reason is Toronto told him to not worry about his average much and to learn how to drive the ball. It was expected he'd see a dip in his batting average....

He's also a superb defender, has serious wheels and a cannon for an arm. Gose is a damn good prospect, and I'm not saying that because I'm a Jays fan either. His many awards from the minors are a good reflection on the type of player he could turn out to be going forward.

Also keep in mind, Gose is 22 and playing against the yankees and red sox.... guys like Olt who everyone seems to have a huge boner for is 2+ years older and still in the minors.
